2020 Cabernet Franc - Shenandoah Valley

The nose opens with bell and white pepper, before transitioning into a melange of red cherry, strawberry, raspberry. Eucalyptus and fennel lengthen into italian herbs and sweet tobacco. Cloves, cola and vanilla convey delightful sweetness. On the palate, the wine takes balance to an extreme with matched acidity, tannin, and body that lengthen into a medium finish. But lest you think this wine average, pair it with a sweet tomato sauce or lighter italian fare… or enjoy its sweeter side paired with a cheeseboard or simply a glass! 

Winemaker’s Notes: 100% Cabernet Franc, 1.5 Tons. Harvested: October 10th. Minimum effective sulfites. Aging: 100% French oak barrels (43% new) for 17 months. Bottled: March 2022. 70 cases produced.
